State Specialized Inspection Agency reports its performance

Deputy Minister of Mongolia, D.Terbishdagva, recently met with administrators of the State Specialized Inspection Agency (SSIA) and other agencies under the jurisdiction of the SSIA, and presented with performance reports for the first half of 2013.

The SSIA set five objectives for the beginning of 2013, and 70 percent of them have been completed so far.

SSIA has conducted 23,702 inspections as of the first half of 2013 and detected 67,970 breaches of code, out of which 43,899 have now been fixed. Of all the inspections, 52.6 percent were planned while the rest were unplanned.

Compared to the same period as last year, the frequency of inspections dropped by 9.2 percent this year, according to the agency’s statistics. SSIA officials also stressed that it was the right move to focus on risk-based monitoring research, advisory and preventive services as part of its reform.
