New maternal hospital at 65 percent completion

Currently, a new maternal hospital with 300 beds is under construction on 2.4 hectares of land provided by the ordinance of the Ulaanbaatar City Mayor on March 21, 2012, at 10th khoroo of Khan-Uul District.

As of July 5, the hospital which is due to be operational in December, 2013, was at 65 percent completion.

Design of the hospital was made by Darkhan Stroi LLC, Mars Construction LLC, Niislel Urgoo LLC and Puma Construction LLC are executing construction assembly.

The new hospital will have five main parts. Part “A” will have 8 stories including technology and storage floors, while “B, M, G” will be seven stories. “D” will have a two story building. The last part, “E”, will be one story. “G”, a plan for an oxygen sub-station is also included in the design.

Currently, construction of the first five stages are proceeding according to plan and design, but construction of the additional two parts have yet to start.
