MPRP CONDEMNS ARREST

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) has condemned the arrest of N.Enkhbayar, a former President of Mongolia and chairman of the political party.

At a press conference on Friday morning they underlined that they would organize a protest demonstration on the Sukhbaatar square in the city and thoughout the country. They demanded the government, State Great Khural and President to release N.Enkhbayar within 24 hours. "If not, we will go to the next level of protest," the secretary-general od the party N.Udval said.

The MPRP has announced an emergency situation among its members, "and we are going to address the National Commission for Human Rights, the Amnesty International organization, and all embassies," she added. 
 
Then she named the forse structures who had participated in the action. "They are special unit of the General Police Department under a rule of the ACA head E.Amarbat; a unit of the domestic military; a special unit of the Criminal protection; the city's Department of Mobile Patrol; the Order section of the Metropolitan Police Department; the Investigating Department; the Section of fighting against serious crimes; the Criminal Police Department; night patrol sections; policemen of the Khan-Uul district, and several others and cars and vehicles," she said.
