Mongolia seizes 67 medals in Asian Draughts Championship

The 7th Asian Draughts Championship took place from June 10 to 15 in Bangkok, Thailand.


Mongolian droughts players won a total of 67 medals at the Asian Draughts Championship; including 20 gold, 23 silver and 24 bronze medals. Mongolia was followed by China, with 15 medals, and Kazakhstan, with eight medals.

Organizer of the championship, Thailand captured two silver medals.

Draughts players from 10 countries, namely China, Mongolia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan and Singapore participated in the Asian Draughts Championship in six age categories.

From Mongolia, a team of 100 people, including draughts players, coaches and officials, participated in the event.

Mongolian draughts players A.Sulyeman, G.Kherlenmurun, G.Duurenbileg, B.Enkhriilen, B.Munkhjin, P.Erkhembileg, S.Munkh-Orgil, E.Uilstuguldur, B.Unurjargal, L.Nadmid, G.Tuul, Ts.Enkhtsetseg and S.Enkhtuvshin received the title of Asian Champion.
