IMAX Officially Announces Cooperation with Jiang Wen's New Film

Imax has just officially announced its the cooperation with Jiang Wen's new film "Gone with the Bullets" at the Shanghai International Film Festival on Saturday.

It was the first time that Imax disclosed such a collaboration in public.

Greg Foster, CEO of Imax Entertainment, made the announcement. He told CRI reporter that the film was currently being shot in Inner Mongolia.

"It's a very exciting title for us. It's coming out in December. He's one of the finest filmmakers in the world. It's the first movie we've done with him. And we are very, very excited. They are shooting right now in Inner Mongolia. And we are very excited to be part of it. And we will probably be back for the premiere in December."

As to reasons why they chose to cooperate with Jiang Wen, Greg said Jiang's talent drew their attention.

"Because he is one of the best film makers. It's a very commercial and exciting move and also quite creative. Lots of talent. He's high quality. And that's what we are looking for."

"Gone with the Bullets" is to hit Chinese screens on December 18th.
