Nepali envoy to Mongolia presents credentials

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Ambassador Mahesh Kumar Maskey presented his Letters of Credence to Mongolian President Tsakhia Elbegdorj today at the latter’s Office in Ulaanbaatar.

Maskey, a resident Ambassador of Nepal to China also concurrently serves as non-residential ambassador of Nepal to Mongolia.

The ceremony of presentation of credentials was followed by a brief reception organised in honour of new envoy.

During the meeting with President Elbegdorj, matters of mutual interest and economic cooperation between Nepal and Mongolia were discussed, a statement released by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing read.

Both countries signed a Framework Agreement in 2001 and bilateral trade agreement on the basis of Most Favoured Nation. Maskey expressed hope that both countries have many things to share with each other and to promote economic relations through trade, commerce and investment.
