DP claims win in Local Election

During a press conference, the Chairman of DP, PM Norov Altankhuyag announced that DP won in the Local Administrative Election 2012.

PM stated that the observers` collected data showed that DP candidates dominated in 13 to 14 aimags out of 21.

PM said "This is the first time that DP has won in Uvs, Tuv, Khovd and Bulgan aimags and also they have a clear lead in 9 districts except Bagakhangai district in Ulaanbaatar city. DP also won in the sub-electoral commissions in Ulaanbaatar where voter attendance did not reach 50 percent.

Ch.Saikhanbileg, chairman of the Cabinet Secretariat and Minister, D.Erdenebat, chairman of DP group in parliament attended the press conference.

In addition, MPP has scheduled a press conference due to the collected votes from the Local Election but it has been postponed until 03:00 pm.
