Japanese doctors to treat over 30 children
Qualified Japanese doctors and medical specialists for coronary and cardiovascular disease who are working on a heart saving project will travel to Mongolia for the diagnosis and treatment of Mongolian children between 19-27 November. The doctors and medical specialist team will diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of doctors at the Cardiovascular and Coronary Department of the Maternal and Child Health Research Center. Local reports say that Japanese doctors will see children suffering with cardiovascular symptoms for free.
But an official says the qualified Japanese doctors plan to treat over 30 patients who were diagnosed by the team last August when they arrived in Mongolia. Volunteer doctors and medical specialists of the heart saving project first came to Mongolia in 2001. Since then the qualified cardiovascular team have diagnosed 2,546 patients and treated to 338 patients over the past 11 years.
