THREE RESCUERS HAVE DIED IN A FIRE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Three rescuers from the Emergency management department have died while putting out the steppe fire.

The fire began raging on May 4 in Bayandun soum of Dornod aimag. According to information that the local people were not able to extinguish it, the aimag's Emergency management department sent a 10 rescuers' group. By the early morning of May 8 they managed to limit the fire to its hearth, but several hours later it was said that three rescuers died--a lieutenant Ts.Namjildash, first sergeants G.Odbayar and S.Bat-Erdene. The worked 7-16 as rescuers, were 27-38 years old.

Apart of it, 80-90 per cent burnt two rescuers are being treated at the soum's hospital.

Ts.Janlav, a governor of Dornod aimag, and N.Khurelbaatar, a head of Citizen's representative khural have expresed condolences to the families of the people died. A working group from the National Emergency management agency has been working in the province.
