STATE SECRETARY RECEIVES RANJIT UYANGODA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The State secretary of the Ministry of Foreign affairs, B.Batkhishig received Non-Resident Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Mongolia Mr. Ranjit Uyangoda on May 31.

The dignitaries noted that the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between Mongolia and Sri Lanka is occurring this year, then focused on ways of boosting the ties in all possible directions, and exchanged information on socio-economy development of their countries.

The Ambassador Uyangoda said he is ready to work for implementing high level mutual visits, developing relations between defence, information technology, education and private sectors of the two states.

He reported that the President of Sri Lanka is inviting Mongolia's leader Ts.Elbegdorj to their country and hoped that it will be paid within this year.

The two countries established the diplomatic ties on February 1 of 1962.
