DEPUTY PREMIER MEETS JAPANESE DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Deputy Premier M.Enkhbold hopes that the Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Yoshihiko Noda will visit Mongolia on occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Mongolia-Japan diplomatic relations celebrated this year.

He said it on Thursday at a meeting with a delegation headed by J.Nanazawa, a deputy director of the Division in charge of financial and provisional affairs of the diplomatic missions abroad of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Enkhbold emphasized an important role of the two countries' Ministries of Foreign Affairs in organizing this visit.

"During the visit of Mongolia's PM to Japan, the sides agreed to develop the strategic partnership relations and released the joint statement. It has given a great impetus to the bilateral relations and cooperation in all spheres," M.Enkhbold said. Mongolia considers as important the Japanese investments and hi tech in realizing biggest projects and programs on economics, mining and infrastructure, he went on.

As a head of the Organizing committee of celebrating the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations, Mr. Enkhbold said many works are being done to deepen the mutual understanding and trust, and hoped that the current visit will contribute to the matters.

Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been implementing a program from 1998 on organizing visits of high- and middle-level officials of Japan's Foreign Ministry.
