PREMIER PLANTS TREE TOGETHER WITH OYLMPIC ATHLETES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ S.Batbold PM has appreciated the Olympic athletes' participation in the Public Day of Planting Trees. They will compete in the upcoming Olympic Games under a motto "For Green Development".

He said it during this national day last Saturday. Opening the event, the Premier planted a spruce in "Peace" valley of Bogd Khaan Mountain, together with the sportsmen who will represent Mongolia at the London 2012 Olympic Games. "We have inherited a virgin nature from our ancestors, so we are responsible for keeping it for the next generations. In this, it is enough to plant trees instead of making big promises," S.Batbold said and wished the athletes many medals.

They have planted some five thousand trees, making groves in "Peace" valley of Bogd Khaan Mountain, the very first National Park in the world.
