The “Mongolian Power-2012” is runs
The international forum “Mongolian Power-2012” started yesterday, on May 15, at the Chingis khan hotel, in Ulaanbaatar.
The forum aimed to introduce Mongolian energy sector policy, to involve local and foreign investors to the energy sector and wide cooperation. Mongolia this year celebrating 90th anniversary of establishment of energy sector.
The Ministry of Mineral and Energy very optimistic on future development energy sector. “The energy sector expecting to grow. Mongolia has a huge an energy resources. Many new power plants to built. For example, the government decided to built new a power palnt with capacity 450 МВт in Ulaanbaatar. This plant will produce power by 2015. Also three power station to be built in the Central region with capacity 600 МВт each said in ministry’s report delivered to the forum.
As said a report main problem is a distribution price of energy. An energy price still under government control and it is main obstacle for foreign investors. D.Zorigt, Mineral and Energy Minister, said the government going to take certain measure to liberalize energy price.
