LIVE BIRHTS AND UNEMPLOYMENT RATES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the first four months of this year, 23,895 mothers delivered 24,014 children (live births), reflecting an increase of 2,361 mothers or 11.0 per cent, and of 2,333 children or 10.8 per cent against the previous year.

At a national level, infant mortality decreased 13 or 3.3 per cent to 385, and child mortality aged 1-5 decreased by 12 or 13.5 per cent to 77.

The number of unemployed reached 54.0 thousand by the end of April 2012, increasing 12.3 thousand people or 29.4 per cent against the previous year.
