INT'L FESTIVAL OF MORIN KHUUR PLAYERS STARTS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The 3rd international festival of Morin Khuur players started on Monday in the Central Palace of Culture, Ulaanbaatar city.
This year's festival has attracted Morin Khuur players from Japan, China, USA, the Republic of Korea, Germany, China's Autonomous Region of Mongolia, and Russia's Buryat Republic.
The festival's opening ceremony started with playing musical pieces called "Mongolian melody" and "White stupa" composed by N.Jantsannorov, and "Beautiful Mongolia"--by E.Choidog. These musical pieces were conducted by Ts.Batchuluun, a People's Artist of Mongolia, and performed by over a hundred players from eight countries. Some of these players are amateurs.
A gala concert of the best players will be performed on Wednesday.
