HEALTH MINISTER AT 65TH WORLD HEALTH ASSEMBLY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Health N.Khurelbaatar delivered on Tuesday a speech on the government's position, policy and some measures for improving adequacy of medical assistance and services, at a plenary meeting of the 65th session of the World Health Assembly.

The Assembly kicked off on May 21 in Geneva, Switzerland. At this session, the Health Assembly is discussing a number of public health issues such as universal health coverage, Millennium Development Goals, non-communicable diseases, mental disorders, nutrition and adolescent pregnancy. The Health Assembly will also consider the programme budget, administration and management matters of WHO.

The same day, N.Khurelbaatar met Ms. Anette Widmann-Mauz, a Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health of Germany; Bartosz Arlukowicz, the Health Minister of Poland; and Recep Akdag, the Health Minister of Turkey.
