SSC, ICTPA to cooperate on IT issues

The State Service Council (SSC) and the Information, Communications Technology and Post Authority (ICTPA) have agreed to cooperate on information technology (IT) issues.

The two sides met on January 6 to discuss the arrangement. Taking part in the discussion were D.Zumberellkham, the head of the SSC, J.Bat-Erdene, the head of the ICTPA, Yo.Sukhbaatar, the head of the IT National Park, and employees of the three organizations.

J.Bat-Erdene talked about the development of IT in Mongolia. Yo.Sukhbaatar spoke about an exam to be given IT engineers. The exam would evaluate an engineer’s knowledge and skills, with the aim of improving his or her performance.

D.Zumberellkham noted that IT is critical to implement electronic government programs, and suggested that the ICTPA cooperate in formulating an exam for evaluating the computer skills of state employees. He also requested help setting up software for human resources management in state organizations.

The two sides agreed to issue a cooperation plan and to enhance IT in state organizations.
