Parliament discusses draft education law

Parliament discussed a draft law on education on Friday.

MPs D.Oyunkhorol, S.Byambatsogt, and P.Altangerel have submitted the draft law. The draft law would give secondary school directors, kindergarten directors, librarians, and school doctors a bonus equal to six months’ salary every five years. Besides, it would upgrade teachers qualifying training and health examination from state budget.

Ts.Sedvanchig stated that not only teachers work in education sector but also many employees such as chefs, cleaners, and guards work in it. But chefs, cleaners, and guards could not take bonus salary even though they work in the sector for a decade or two decades. The draft law has not instructed bonus to them.

Agreeing him, S.Byambatsogt stated that the issue should be considered on the discussion and a bonus equal to six months’ salary every five years should be also instructed to workers as teachers.
