BANK OF MONGOLIA REPORTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Bank of Mongolia reports that money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of 2011 reached MNT 6,427.2 billion, increasing MNT 304.0 billion or 5.0 per cent against the previous month, and by MNT 1,747.2 billion or 37.3 per cent against the previous year.


At the end of the last year, a currency issued in circulation reached MNT 713.4 billion, increasing by MNT 34.4 billion or 5.1 per cent against the previous month and by MNT 193.7 billion or 37.3 per cent against the previous year.

Loans outstanding at the end 2011 amounted to MNT 5,641.1 billion, going up by MNT 202.4 billion or 3.7 per cent against the previous month, and by MNT 2,376.4 billion or 72.8 per cent against the previous year.
Principals in arrears at the end of 2011 reached MNT 73.7 billion increasing MNT 2.2 billion or 3.1 per cent against the previous month, decreasing by MNT 16.9 billion or 18.7 per cent against the previous year.

At the end of 2011, the non-performing loans over the bank system reached MNT 330.0 billion, showing decreases of MNT 13.2 billion or 3.8 per cent against the previous month and of MNT 44.4 billion or 11.9 per cent against the previous year.

There were 252 trading days during which 125.6 million shares valued at MNT 350.2 billion were traded.
