Ningxia explores tourism market in Australia and New Zealand

The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region took part in the “Ancient Great Wall in Beautiful China” promotional activity in New Zealand and Australia, and participated in an opening ceremony held in Auckland on May 10.

Beijing Municipality, as well as Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi and Gansu Provinces and Ningxia and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions along the Great Wall joined the promotional activity held by the National Tourism Administration.

Ningxia is dubbed the “Great Wall Museum” as it incorporates multi-cultural resources such as the origin of the Silk Road, Xi’xia Dynasty (982–1127) history, Hui ethnic group traditions and desert scenery, said the Vice Director of the Ningxia Tourism Bureau Xu Xiaoping during the activity.
