Speaker meets China Investment Corporation chairman
Ulaanbaatar, May 26 (MONTSAME) Parliament Speaker Z.Enkhbold met Monday with Ding Xuedong, a deputy secretary-general of China’s State Council and a chairman of China Investment Corporation.

The Mongolian Speaker noted that during the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building in Shanghai, the state leaders of the two countries met and shared views on Mongolia-China cooperation. The Speaker further expressed a gratitude to China for its support for stimulation of the cooperation, specifically in infrastructure.
The parties also shared opinions on a coal gasification project.
After briefing on the China Investment Corporation, Mr Ding said China will cooperate with Mongolia in that coal gasification project, which needs USD thirty billion. He expressed a hope that the parliament of Mongolia will render the needed assistance including a tax relief for the implementation of the project. Pleased with the recent amendments to the Investments Law of Mongolia, Mr Ding said China is willing to increase its investments to Mongolia.
In his turn, the Mongolian Speaker said the Mongolian part is planning to lay the foundation stone of the coal gasification plant during a visit of the State head of China to Mongolia this August. He also noted that Mongolia is interested in further cooperating with China in major economic projects.
Present at the meeting were Mr Wang Xiaolong, Ambassador of China to Mongolia and others.


Economy intensifying council reports
Ulaanbaatar, May 26 (MONTSAME) Creating favorable conditions for doing business in Mongolia is the vital work to be done within the 100-days for intensifying national economy.
Secretary of this Council at the cabinet for reforms B.Byambasaikhan said it at a news conference Monday. “By doing so, a necessary amount of money for the national economy will be transferred into the market,” he said.
He highlighted an importance of the visits of the President and Prime Minister paid to China and Russia for boosting the economy, saying these visits focused on promoting Mongolia’s participation in the biggest projects on infrastructure to be realized between Russia and China.
Byambasaikhan reported that members of his Council held last week meetings with some 120 businessmen in order to exchange views on refining the business environment and overcoming difficulties in the national economy.
Last week, the cabinet decided to finance 579 projects with capitals from the fund for supporting small- and middle-sized productions, giving a big chance to businessmen. It is very important for them  realize the decision in a short time, he said.
A high-level meeting of business sector will be organized by the Mongolian Economic Forum this June 19-21. It aims to discuss issues of attracting investments, and will allow its participants to introduce their projects to foreign investors, Byambasaikhan said. The forthcoming measure is also expected to bring together delegates from Germany, Turkey, Jordan, Italy and India.     


Kh.Temuujin receives Deputy Minister of China
Ulaanbaatar, May 26 (MONTSAME) Mongolia’s Minister of Justice Kh.Temuujin Monday received visiting Mr Zhang Sujun, the Deputy Minister of Justice of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views and information on ongoing legal reforms in the two countries, the system of law enforcement bodies, activities of prisons, the bilateral ties in legal sphere, expanding the ties and cooperation in justice, intensifying a legal assistance to each other, and on convict sharing matter.
After the meeting, a memorandum between the Ministries of the two countries was signed by Mr E.Erdenejamyan, Mongolia’s Vice Minister of Justice, and by Mr Zhang.
By the visiting programme, Mr Zhang will leg some prisons and the University of Law Enforcement. His visit will continue until Tuesday.


Stock exchange news for May 26
Ulaanbaatar, May 26 (MONTSAME) At the Stock Exchange trades held Monday, a total of 22 thousand and 519 shares of 31 JSCs were traded costing MNT 15 million 846 thousand and 569.63.
"Hermes center” /5,900 units/, "Silikat" /4,000 units/, "Moninjbar” /2,429 units/, "E-trans logistics" /2,000 units/ and "Genco tour bureau” /1,860 units/ were the most actively traded in terms of trading volume, in terms of trading value--"Gobi” (MNT one million 821 thousand and 050), "Baganuur" (MNT one million 755 thousand and 940), "Eermel" (MNT one million 615 thousand and 650), "Tavantolgoi" (MNT one million 530 thousand and 690) and "Sharyn gol” (MNT one million 012 thousand and 500).
The total market capitalization was set at MNT one trillion 552 billion 884 million 492 thousand and 715. The Index of Top-20 JSCs was 15,236.53, decreasing by MNT 137.89 or 0.90% against the previous day.


Exhibition of bone sculptures opens
Ulaanbaatar, May 26 (MONTSAME) A Mongolian sculptor and singer T.Battogtokh opened an exhibition named “Horses created by animal shoulder blade bone” at Marshal Art Gallery on Friday.
This special exhibition is displaying over 30 horse sculptures made of shoulder blade and other bones. The opening ceremony was attended by the State Prized painter Do.Bold, a deputy head of the Union of Mongolian Artists Ts.Tsegmid and J.Enkhbayar MP.
It will be open until May 30.  


Mongolia’s Mothers' and Children's Day on June 01 to Be Celebrated in Broader Range
May 26 (infomongolia.com) Annually on June 01, Mongolia celebrates its Mothers' and Children's Day and this year, the Capital City Administration is planning to organize in a broader range compare to previous years.
One of the distinct of this year’s celebration is to decorate the Chinggis Square with 12 animals of Lunar Calendar and to host festival dedicated the Day. At each animal spot will be organized a contest, moreover main characters of “Jangar” epic poems will be erected in the center of the Square, where artists from Mongolian Puppet Theatre, Children’s Palace, National Song and Dance Ensemble, best children choirs, Music and Dance College, best contestants of “Future Stars” as well as Merit Artists V.Dolgor and T.Ariunaa are to stage.
Children will be celebrating their festival and taking pictures along with Disneyland heroes and Bongo’s friends, the event will be starting at 11:00 am on June 01, 2014.
