G.ZANDANSHATAR MEETS COMMERCE MINISTER OF CHINA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar arrived on Wednesday in Beijing with official visit to China. He has been invited by his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi.

Upon arriving he met Chen Deming, the Minister of Commerce, to share views on the bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic fields. They mentioned about a successful regular meeting of the Mongolia-China intergovernmental commission in June of 2011, and considered as necessary to regularly run a working group's meetings in order to ensure an implementation of decisions the commission makes.

G.Zandanshatar asked the Chinese government to give an urgent support to Mongolia in cases of auto fuels, diesel fuel and other oil products shortage. He added that Mongolia wants to expand the cooperation with China in oil and energy sectors, to receive an assisitance in constructing an oil refinery, to have the Chinese Inner Mongolia supply the Oyu tolgoi mine with energy, to reconsider the tax on coal going from Mongolia, and to have the Russia-China gas pipeline run through the Mongolian territory.

In response, the Chinese Minister promised that both his and the Ministry's efforts will be made to tackle these matters positively.

Then G.Zandanshatar invited him to visit Mongolia.

After this meeting, the Foreign Minister held a meeting with the Mongolian students, who are studying in China, and diplomats of the Mongolian embassy.
