PAY RISE AND OTHER MATTERS TO BE DISCUSSED BY PARLIAMENT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ At its irregular meeting on Tuesday, the cabinet discussed draft amendments to the laws on budget for 2012, on budget for social insurance fund for 2012, and amendments to the law on budget and to the 54th and 55th parliamentary resolutions of 2011.

Then, the cabinet decided to have parliament urgently discuss these amendments. The cabinet reflected its proposals in them and submitted to the Speaker after the meeting.

The budgets have been clarified on principles such as fully exploiting all budgetary income sources based on preliminary performance of this year's budget, making closer the dates of pay rise and increases in pensions and some allowances granted by the social insurance and social welfare funds, and ensuring an implementation of the law on annulling some clauses of the law on government structure.

The cabinet three times considered augmenting of salaries, pensions and allowances, so it has decided to tackle this matter by clarifying the budgets under an agreement with Standing committees.
