Government announces meeting

On Friday, the Government announced it will hold a special meeting to inform journalists about its works.

The Government plans to discuss implementation of the Clean Air project. It has implemented the project in phases to reduce air pollution in the capital and to develop ger districts. According to the Government, about 50,000 households in six districts now use low-smoke stoves. Also, nighttime electric rates have been reduced by 50 percent for ger district households and cleaner-burning wood is being supplied.

Also, large buses for public transportation will be converted to operate on natural gas. Officials from relevant organizations will report on their anti-pollution efforts.
