GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT INCREASED BY 1,866 BILLION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In nine months of 2011, the GDP increased 1,866.6 billion togrog or 31.4 percent to 7,810.4 billion togrog at current prices, compared to the previous year.


The GDP increased by 502.0 billion togrog or 16.7 percent to 3,511.6 billion togrog at 2005 constant prices.
The national consumer price index in September of 2011 went up 0.6 percent against the previous month, by 5.9 percent from December 2010, and by 10.5 percent against the same period of 2010. The increase in national index compared to the previous month was mainly due to 1.8 percent increase in clothing, footwear and cloth, and to 4.6 percent increase in housing, water, electricity and fuels.
