Judoists grab medals

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ An international master of sports G.Boldbaatar won a gold medal in the Judo Grand Prix took place December 17-18 in Qingdao city, China. Some 250 judoists from 31 countries have competed in the competition. Mongolia has been represented by 12 male and seven female judoists.

Competed in the men's 60 kg category, G.Boldbaatar has had a bye at the first round, and then has beaten opponents from Brazil, Russia and countryman Ch.Boldbaatar. At the gold medal contest, G.Boldbaatar defeated Beslan Mudranov from Russia.

An international master of sports B.Temuulen has won a silver medal in the men's -100 kg category after defeating N.Tuvshinbayar (Mongolia) and Ryunosuke Haga (Japan). Other Mongolian judoists B.Khishigbayar (men's 66 kg), B.Bat-Erdene and M.Urantsetseg (both women's 48 kg) have won bronze medals.

As the team results, Mongolia took fifth place among 31 countries thanks to grabbing one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
