Bringing Vietnam-Mongolia relationship to a new height

A high-ranking delegation of the Mongolian Parliament, led by its Chairman Demberel Damdin, left Hanoi on December 17 after concluding its official visit to Vietnam.

At Mr. Damdin’s meetings with President Nguyen Minh Triet, Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Phu Trong, and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, both sides expressed their hopes to strengthen and expand Vietnam-Mongolia multifaceted cooperation and boost the mutual trust and understanding to bring the relationship to a new height.

They also agreed to promote exchange activities between ministries and localities of the two countries to create favourable conditions for businesses for mutual benefits.

Regarding cooperation between Vietnamese National Assembly and Mongolian Parliament, both parties agreed to promote exchanges of high-ranking delegation and speed up the implementation of joint agreements.

During Mr. Damdin’s visit, both sides signed a cooperation agreement between the two parliaments, a cooperation agreement between the two parliaments’ offices, and another one between the two agricultural ministries.

The Mongolian delegation also laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and visited some historical and cultural places in Hanoi and Quang Ninh.
