UNICEF Supports Preschool Education

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and a Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science of Mongolia have presented 180 million togrog worth 20 ger kindergartens and 20 ger schools with all toys and furniture needed. It has been done in order to attract living in remote areas children in the preschool education and to give dropouts a chance to go to school again in frames of the Millennium Development Goals' aim to increase a sufficiency of the education.

For the time being, preschool children's 76 % receive the related educational service. One fourth of them is educated by mobile kindergartens, visiting tutor, and in shifts. In order to widen a variant trainings, seven kindergarten of the city's Khan-Uul, Songinokhairkhan, Bayanzurkh, Chingeltei and Baganuur districts and 28 soums in Bayan-Olgii, Uvs, Khovd, Dornod and Sukhbaatar aimags have been presented 92 million togrogs' 20 ger, 50 packages of toys, 20 packages of furniture to support more than 500 children.
