DEFENSE MINISTER MEETS U.S DELEGATION
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Defense Minister of Mongolia L.Bold and a Head of the General Headquarters of Mongolia's Armed Forces Lieutenant-General Ts.Byambajav received Thursday a Lieutenant General Wallace C.Gregson, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asia-Pacific affairs. Headed by him U.S delegation is paying a working visit to Mongolia August 17-20.
The sides have shared views on the bilateral ties and collaboration in the defense sector for strengthening the Mongolia-USA friendly relations.
In frames of the visit Mr.Gregson was received by the Prime Minister S.Batbold.
On Friday, the delegation will attend a closing ceremony of the "Khaan Quest" international field exercises and will grant 18 "Ford" army jeeps--the first part of non-refundable aid rendered by the USA to improve capability of Mongolia's Armed Forces personnel.
