Belarus issues more permits for truckers from Mongolia, Tajikistan in 2014

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Belarus has increased the number of permits to road carriers from Mongolia and Tajikistan in 2014. The decision was formalized in Resolution No. 25 of the Ministry of Transport and Communications dated 22 July. The resolution was posted on the National Legal Internet Portal of Belarus on 6 August, BelTA has learnt.

Amendments and additions were introduced to supplement to Resolution No. 47 of the Ministry of Transport and Communications dated 6 December 2013 “Concerning the permits for vehicles from foreign states travelling across the territory of the Republic of Belarus”. The number of permits for Mongolian carriers will increase twice up to 200. Belarus will also issue the first-ever 25 permits for charter buses with Mongolian registration.

Truckers from Tajikistan will receive 1,500 permits instead of 800 this year.

For the first time ever Belarus will issue permits for Greek truckers travelling across Belarus. In line with Resolution No. 25, a thousand permits for trucks and 200 permits for charter buses will be issued in 2014.

Resolution No. 25 comes into effect after its official publication. It was drafted based on point 1 of Decree No. 341 dated 22 July 2004.
