Bank of Mongolia reports
Ulaanbaatar, July 14 (MONTSAME) The Bank of Mongolia (BoM) has reported that money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of June 2014 reached to MNT 102,11.2 billion, declining MNT 29.3 billion or 0.3% the previous month, and increased  MNT 2207.4 billion or 27.6% against the previous year.

In the first half of this year, currency issued in circulation reached MNT 860.0 billion, decreasing MNT 2.9 billion or 0.3% against the previous month and increased MNT 24.2 billion or 3.0% over the same period of the previous year.
Loans outstanding at the end of June 2014 amounted to MNT 12,302.1 billion, increasing MNT 237.2 billion or 2.0% against the previous month and MNT 3,693.8 billion or 42.9% against the previous year.
Principals in arrears at the end of June 2014 reached MNT 438.3 billion, increasing MNT 57.0 billion or 15.0% against the previous month and MNT 288.5 billion or 2.9 times against the previous year.
At the end of June 2014, the non-performing loans over the bank system reached MNT 567.0 billion, increasing MNT 52.8 billion or 8.5% against the previous month and MNT 250.1 billion or 79.0% against the previous year.
In the first six months of 2014, 30.1 million shares were traded valued at MNT 133.9 billion at the stock market.

Unemployment rate declines
Ulaanbaatar, July 14 (MONTSAME) The number of unemployed reached 33.9 thousand at the end of June 2014.
It showed a decrease of 7.9 thousand people or 18.8 per cent compared with the same period of the previous year.

Social insurance in statistics
Ulaanbaatar, July 14 (MONTSAME) In the first half of this year, the revenue of the Social Insurance Fund amounted to MNT 672.5 billion, reflecting an increase of MNT 59.3 billion or 9.7% and the expenditure of the fund reached MNT 627.5 billion, increasing MNT 104.7 billion or 20.0% over the same period of the previous year.
The Social Welfare Fund granted to 191.0 thousand people for retirement pensions and welfare payments totalling to MNT 69.3 billion.
The number of pension and welfare recipients increased 12.7 thousand people or 7.1% against the previous year, whereas the amount of pensions and allowances increased by MNT 3.7 billion or 5.6%.
The Human Development Fund paid out cash of MNT 118.2 billion to 976.3 thousand children aged below 18.

Births increase
Ulaanbaatar, July 14 (MONTSAME) In the first half of this year, 40 thousand and 164 mothers delivered children and the number of live births reached 40 thousand and 417.
The number of the mothers delivered children increased 1,435 mothers or 3.7% and that of children increased by 1,480 or 3.8% against the previous year.
Infant mortality reached 632, increasing 55 children or 9.5%, and under-five mortality reached 760, increasing 50 or 7.0% compared with the same period of the previous year.

Number of crimes rises
Ulaanbaatar, July 14 (MONTSAME) At the national level, 13 thousand and 565 cases of crimes were recorded in the first half of this year, showing an increase of 772 crimes or 6.0% against the previous year.
The increase in the number of crimes was largely attributable to the rises in crimes such as the crime against the right of ownership (370) and infliction of a bodily injury (455) compared to same period of the previous year. Due to the crimes, 502 people died and 5139 have injured. The number of the injured people rose by 683 people or 15.3%; by seven people or 1.4% from the same period of the previous year.

Meteorology Institute reports
Ulaanbaatar, July 14 (MONTSAME) The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has reported that the highest precipitation (187.4 mm) was recorded in Dornod aimag’s Dashbalbar soum in June 2014.
The highest air temperature (36.0 C) was recorded in Dornogobi’s Sainshand soum, Omnogobi’s Khanbogd soum and Dundgobi’s Gurvansaikhan soum, whereas the lowest air temperature (10.0 C) was recorded in Zavkhan aimag’s Tsetsen-Uul soum in June 2014. Wind speed reached 28.0 m/sec in Sukhbaatar aimag’s Baruun-Urt soum.
For the acceptable level of air quality standards as of June 2014, daily average concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded 22 times around the West crossroad, 10 times around the 13th micro district and five times around the 32nd Circle, twice around the 1st micro district.
The particulate matter less than 10 micrograms exceeded 23 times around the 13th micro district, 17 times around the West crossroad and around the 32nd Circle respectively, five times around the “Kharkhorin” market, four times around the from the maximum allowable concentration of air quality standard in June, 2014.

Accidents and disasters
Ulaanbaatar, July 14 (MONTSAME) In the first half of this year, 2,449 disasters and accidents occurred.
Due to them, 62 people died, 12 thousand 272 heads of livestock and animals were lost.
Out of all the disasters and accidents, there were 2,155 construction fires, 104 forest fires, 96 cases of rabies of domestic animals, 25 floods and river and lake accidents, 17 cases of 3.5 magnitude earthquakes. The construction fires caused 6.4 billion togrog damage, forest fires--1.4 billion, severe storms--123.0 million, rabies--62.6 million. A sum of 401.2 million togrog was spent for eliminating the disasters and accidents' consequences.
41 people died due to construction fires, 18 people--in rivers and lakes, by one--in a severe storms and a mine collapse.
The occurrence of the natural disasters and accidents decreased by 138 cases against previous year.
