Vice Speaker meets Petr Kynstetr

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) A Vice Chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament) L.Tsogt Tuesday met visiting Mr Petr Kynstetr, a Secretary-General of Chamber of Deputies of the Czech parliament.

Expressing a satisfaction with the visit of the Czech delegation, Mr Tsog recalled his visit to the Czech Repuiblic, when he was a secretary-general of parliament in 1996-1999, and of Mr Kynstetr ten years ago. It was the time "when we started our collaboration," he noted.
In turn, Mr Kynstetr said he is happy to meet again with the Vice Speaker and congratulated Mr Tsog on being appointed the Vice Speaker. He expressed a satisfaction with reviving of the Mongolia-Czech inter-parliamentary ties.
Mr Tsog wished Mr Kynstetr and accompanying him delegates an enjoyable time here.  

Honorary Consulate opens in Belgrade

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) A Mongolian Honorary consulate launched its operations in Belgrade, Serbia on June 27.
The Consulate will be operational under a leadership of the recently appointed Honorary Consul Prof Dr Marco Bumbasirevic, a Prof. of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology and Chair of Orthopedic Surgery Department in Belgrade.
At the opening ceremony speeches were given by Ambassador of Mongolia to Serbia T.Gandi, the Serbian Deputy FM Dragan Momcilovic, and Honorary Consul Marco Bumbasirevic.
Mr Bumbasirevic, the first ever Honorary consul of Mongolia to Serbia, promised efforts to protect legal rights of Mongolians residing in Serbia, to develop the Mongolia-Serbia relationship and cooperation in all fields, as well as to promote knowledge about Mongolia in Serbia. He also noted a readiness of the Serbian authorities to support his efforts.
Before the ceremony, Ms Gandi had met with the consul to ask him to give a priority in increasing number of Mongolian students seeing high education under scholarships of the Serbian side, and in granting the scholarships for two in academic years of 2014-2015.
Ms Gandi also gave Mr Bumbasirevic recommendations her Embassy wants to get reflected in the 2014 action plans of the Honorary Consulate, and signed with him a memorandum of understanding.

Budget performance for 2013 adopted

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) A plenary meeting of the parliamentary session on Tuesday ran the second discussion of the parliamentary resolution on approving the 2013 budget performance of Mongolia, and then adopted it with 72.9% votes.
The presentation of the budget performance by the Sub-committee on budgetary expenditure monitoring was made by J.Erdenebat MP, the conclusion was presented by Ch.Khurelbaatar MP. Thus, the parliamentary session approved a draft resolution of parliament on taking some measures in a scope of adoption of the 2013 budget performance.
The same day, the plenary meeting passed a draft resolution of parliament on altering a composition of one Standing committee, and ran a first discussion of a draft resolution of parliament on approving the Basic Guidelines of Social-Economic Development of Mongolia in 2015. 


Holiday for Naadam festival prolonged

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) Holiday for the National Great Festival--Naadam will have five days, from July 11 to 15.
It was decided such after the plenary session of the parliamentary session on Tuesday had ran a first discussion of a draft amendment to the law on public celebration and remarkable days. The amendment was passed by 63.8% voted of MPs.
In conjunction with prolonging the Naadam holidays, a draft amendment to the law on labour was adopted as well.
The alteration of the law on public holiday came into force from the adoption day.

Parliament Office chief meets Czech counterpart

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) A head of the parliament office B.Bolbaatar met Tuesday with Mr Petr Kynstetr, a Secretary-General of Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament.
Pleased to meet his counterpart from the Czech Republic, Mr Boldbaatar briefed the guests about the organizational structure of the parliament office of Mongolia and expressed a willingness to broaden cooperation and to share best experiences.
Mr Kynstetr said that seeing how close nomadic Mongolians live to the nature was very pleasing, and noted that his visit has been paid as part of collaboration between the Embassies of the two countries. He wants to successfully continue ongoing cooperation between the sides, the Czech politician invited his Mongolian counterpart to pay a visit to the Czech Republic. The Czech parliament is working on a new law on public offices, Mr Kynstetr said and asked about Mongolia’s law with similar purposes.
At the end of the meeting, the two signed a memorandum of cooperation.

Czech delegation visits Parliamentary Session Hall

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) Being here with the official visit, a delegation headed by Mr Petr Kynstetr, a Secretary-General of Chamber of Deputies of the Czech parliament, got acquainted Tuesday with the Hall of Parliamentary Session at the State House.
The Chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament) Z.Enkhbold greeted the delegation.
In frames of the visit which will continue until Wednesday, the delegation will leg the “Gobi” cashmere company, Gandantegchilen Monastery, National Museum and exhibition of Skoda cars.

Bayankhoshuu and Selbe Areas to Be Developed as Subcenters of Ulaanbaatar under ADB Soft Loans

July 1 (infomongolia.com) At the Cabinet meeting held last Saturday, June 28, Minister of Economic Development N.Batbayar was entrusted to sign the first phase of Loan Agreement on "Ger Areas Development and Investment Support Program" between the Government of Mongolia and the Asia Development Bank (ADB).
So on June 30, 2014, Minister N.Batbayar and ADB Country Director Robert Schoellhammer have signed a 104.5 million USD Loan Agreement, the Tranche 1 of the "Ger Areas Development and Investment Support Program", whereas the ADB and the European Investment Bank to provide soft loans, including commercial loans and grants estimated total of 82.08 million USD, and Ulaanbaatar Administration to finance the rest of 22.42 million USD.
At the signing ceremony, Deputy Governor of the Capital City responsible for Construction, Urbanization and Investment Issues S.Ochirbat was also present to co-sign the document.
The 3-year project objective is to restructure the Ger Districts in Ulaanbaatar with participation of residents by expanding water supply, sewerage and heating service systems, improving socio-economic infrastructure and in the frameworks of the Capital City General Plan, considered development strategic territories of Bayankhoshuu and Selbe areas will be developed as subcenters of the Ulaanbaatar.

Vice FM congratulates S.Oyun

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Gankhuyag Tuesday met Ms S.Oyun, the Minister of Environment and Green Development, in the State House.
On behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and all diplomats of Mongolia, the Vice  Minister congratulated her on taking part as the chair in the first United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) in June 23-27 in Nairobi, Kenya, and gave her a Gerege (paiza).
Ms Oyun served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2007-2008.

MongolBank to cooperate with FSA

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) The Bank of Mongolia (BoM) and the Financial Services Agency of Japan (FSA) will cooperate.
A memorandum of the cooperation was inked on Monday by N.Zoljargal, the BoM president, and by Ryutaro Hatanaka, a Commissioner of the FSA.
Accordingly, the sides will upgrade the financial regulation system, develop the financial market, and share knowledge and experiences in the financial services. 

Stock exchange news for July 1

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) At the Stock Exchange trades held Tuesday, a total of 6,492 shares of 14 JSCs were traded costing MNT six million 821 thousand and 840.00.
"Genco tour bureau” /3,407 units/, "Khokh gan" /1,332 units/, "Merex” /510 units/, "Sharyn gol” /477 units/ and "Moninjbar” /264 units/ were the most actively traded in terms of trading volume, in terms of trading value--"Sharyn gol” (MNT three million 480 thousand and 420), "Material impex" (MNT one million 166 thousand and 460), "Gobi” (MNT one million 042 thousand and 955), "Genco tour bureau” (MNT 296 thousand and 409) and "Baganuur” (MNT 213 thousand and 600).
The total market capitalization was set at MNT one trillion 588 billion 912 million 519 thousand and 291. The Index of Top-20 JSCs was 15,584.80, increasing by MNT 96.00 or 0.62% against the previous day.

“National campaign against cancer was successfully held

July 1 (news.mn) Nationwide “National campaign against cancer” by the National Cancer Centre of Mongolia, Khan bank and  Mongolian National Broadcaster /MNB/ was successfully implemented in the last destination of the project,  Ulaangom in Uvs aimag from June 22nd to  28th.  National Cancer Centre of Mongolia, Khan bank and  Mongolian National Broadcaster /MNB/ signed co-operation document at a ceremony for the launch of the fourth year of the “National campaign against cancer”-2014 at the National Cancer Centre of Mongolia last February.
An opening for the nationwide “National campaign against cancer” was held in Darkhan-Uul aimag on May 11th.  There has been a series of activities  carried out  for the campaign including check-up trip by the specialists and doctors of the National Cancer Center in high-risk aimags including Uvs, Khovd, Bayan-Ulgii, Darkhan, Selenge, Dornod, Sukhbaatar. Mongolians win three "gold" in cross country contest

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) Three Mongolian teenagers B.Bilguudei, T.Monkhzul and N.Dulam have won gold medals each in the Asian School Country Championship in Zuunmod town of Tov province.
The medals came in boys 5km, girls 3km and 4km events, respectively. In the medal total, Mongolia led all six countries involved, followed by Hong Kong and Macau.
The Mongolian Track and Field Association together with Junior Sports Union organized the tournament in Zuunmod town last Saturday. Young athletes from Mongolia, Russia, China, Macau, Hong Kong and Malaysia competed in four age groups. Girls and boys of 14-15 ran distances of 3km and 5km, while 16-17-aged traversed longer 4km and 6km distances.
As the host nation, Mongolia was represented by five in each event, while other countries put four runners for each distance.

Again in UB at Chinggis Khaan Judo Grand Prix
July 1 (infomongolia.com) Under the auspices of the President of Mongolia, the Chinggis Khan Judo Grand Prix will be taking place at the Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Complex in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia on July 04-06, 2014.
In this edition, over 350 judokas from about 40 nations are to gather including participants from Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech, Georgia, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mozambique, North Korea, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela.
Notably, London Olympic Champion from Russia, Tagir Khaibulaev (Men’s -100 kg) is participating, who defeated over our Beijing Olympic Champion N.Tuvshinbayar at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Besides, Canadian Bronze medalist in the Men's -81 kg category at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Antoine Valois-Fortier as well as London Olympics Bronze medalist Dimitri Peters (Men’s -100 kg) from Germany are also to compete at this prestigious 2014 Chinggis Khaan Judo Grand Prix.
The Judo Grand Prix will be held in the Women’s -48kg, -52kg, -57kg, -63kg -70kg, -78kg, +78kg and in the Men’s -60 kg, -66 kg, -73kg -81kg, -90kg, -100kg, +100kg categories and as a host nation, Mongolia will be competing with 4 judokas per weight.
According to organizers, Tagir Khaibulaev (RUS) and Dimitri Peters (GER), Gold and Bronze medalists in the -100 kg at the 2012 London Olympics are arriving in Ulaanbaatar tomorrow on July 02, 2014, and London Olympics Silver medalist N.Tuvshinbayar (MGL) will be also competing, making the half-heavyweight category must-see bouts.

“Temuulel” judo club opens

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) International master of sports and national wrestler with the "Nachin" title B.Odkhuu has opened a judo club named "Temuulel" /Aspiration/ together with his fellows.
An opening ceremony of the club took place Monday in Ulaanbaatar with a participation of J.Otgontsagaan, the secretary-general of Mongolia's National Olympic Committee, Mongolia’s Judo Federation, and N.Tuvshinbayar, a State Honored Sportsman and Olympic champion.
The club is to provide children and athletes with nice opportunities to exercise judo. it also has a pool.  

Best young arts to be announced

Ulaanbaatar, July 1 (MONTSAME) Best young artists will be announced in the "Grand Art" fine art competition on July 1.
The award event will take place in the Art Gallery of Mongolian Artists Union, where an exhibition displaying artworks of these young talents will be mounted until July 6.
Promoting our young artists and their creations, this exhibition will take place under collaboration of the Mongolian Artists Union, its Young Artists Community, artist L.Bumandorj, along with the International Cultural Exchanges Center in Daejeon, South Korea.

Cinematographer D.Angarag to work in Hollywood

July 1 (UB Post) Mongolian cinematographer D.Angarag will produced a movie in Hollywood, reported news.mn.
D.Angarag has previously worked on famous Mongolia movies such as “Minii Khursh Chutgur” (My Neighbor is a Devil), “Bodliin Khulgaich” (Thief of the Mind), “Dev” and “Anu Khatan” (Queen Anu).
He took part in the 86th Academy Awards (The Oscars 2014), which took place in Hollywood, Los Angeles in March. The cinematographer was also involved in a professional cinematographer’s training by invitation of the American Society of Cinematographers in October 2013.
He is expected to work on movie called “Precious” in the USA soon.
