Local Administrative Governors appointed

Local Administrative Governors were appointed and handed out their validations by Prime Minister Norov Altankhuyag from the results of the Local Administrative Election DP won in 12 aimags, 5 districts, MPP in 9 aimags, 4 districts.

The head of the DP in Arkhangai, D.Bat-Erdene has been appointed as the Governor of Arkhangai aimag. According to election law,the Residents` Representative Khural in Arkhangai submitted the name to the Prime Minister to be approved.

DP won 20 mandates, while MPP won 12 in Bayan-Ulgii aimag where there are 33 mandates. MPRP-MNDP Justice coalition won one mandate. Former Deputy Governor of Bayan-Ulgii and Kh,Darmen is to head the aimag for the next four years.

In Bayankhongor aimag, the head of DP in Bayankhongor, D.Jargalsaikhan was appointed as the new Governor of the aimag.

The DP in Bulgan aimag won 17 seats during the Local Administrative Election. Therefore the head of DP in Bulgan aimag, B.Erdenbat has been submitted to the Prime Minister as the Governor and was approved.

The former Governor of Govi-Altai aimag was re-appointed becuase MPP won 21 mandates out of 35 mandates in the aimag.

The Residents` Representative Khural in Govi-Sumber aimag submitted former Deputy Governor of Govi-Sumber aimag, D.Batsuuri as the new Governor.

In Dornogovi aimag, former Governor and the head of DP, P.Gankhuyag was re-appointed as the new Governor.

In Dornod aimag where MPP won 18 mandates andDP won 14 out of 25 mandates, the Chief of MPP committee in Dornod, M.Badamsuren replaced the former Governor Ts.Janlav.

In Dundgovi aimag, the dispute between members of rival DP and MPP is still controversial. The result of the Local Administrative Election are that MPP won 19 mandates, DP won 15 mandates and MPRP-MNDP Justice coalition won one.

In Zavkhan aimag, the head of MPP committee, J.Jamyiantiv, was appointed as the new Governor of Zavkhan.

Former Governor of Uvurkhangai aimag, D.Togtokhsuren was re-appointed as the Governor.

Umnugovi aimag which has two strategic deposits, re-appointed former Governor B.Badraa.

In Sukhbaatar aimag former Governor J.Batsuuri was re-appointed as the Governor. J.Batsuuri promised the residents to develop the aimag into the city.

The Residents` Representative Khural in Selenge aimag submitted former Deputy Governor S.Burenbat as the new Governor of Selenge.

Tuv aimag made a totally different choice during the Local Administrative Election. In Tuv aimag, DP won 20 mandates while MPP 18, MPRP 3 mandates out of 41 mandates. And the Deputy Head of DP in Tuv aimag, D.Bayarbat was appointed as the new Governor. The Head of DP In Uvs aimag, D.Tsendsuren is to head the aimag for the next four year term.

Local reports in Khovd say that one of the pioneers of first Democratic movements in 1990, D.Tseveenravdan, replaced the Governor of Khovd J.Nyamdavaa.

In Khuvsgul aimag, the CEO of the Leader Cashmere LLC, a member of MPP L.Ganbold was appointed as the new Governor. The Residents Representative Khural submitted his name to Prime Minister, but has yet to be approved.

In Khentii aimag, J.Oyunbaatar was submitted by the Residents` Representative Khural and was approved as Governor of Khentii by Prime Minister and replaced former Governor Ch.Erdenebaatar.

In Orkhon aimag, the head of DP. G.Zorigt was appointed as the Governor of Orkhon aimag as a result of the Local Administrative Election where DP won 19 out of 31 mandates.

Darkhan-Uul aimag is the only Administrative unit where 33 mandates were proportionally distributed.

DP won 11, MPP 18 and MPRP-MNDP Justice coalition two and two independent candidates won in Darkhan-Uul aimag.

The Residents` Representative Khural submitted S.Nasanbat as the new Governor of Darkhan-Uul. S.Nasanbat is the CEO of Shariin gol LLC.
