“Mermaids” puppet performance to be staged

The Mongolian Puppet Theatre is to perform the Mermaids puppet play for children as a New Year`s gift on December 22nd. The script of the puppet play is written by poet Ts.Khulan. State Honored compositor B.Munkhdorj composed the music for it. All artists of the puppet theatre are expected to stage the play.

The play is about mermen and mermaids seeing how people mistreat nature. The puppet play will reveal new fairy tale characters such as Greedy Evil, Naughty Spirit, Cruel Demon and wise characters of Mongolian traditional folktales.

Green Gold project by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Arts Council of Mongolia are supporting the puppet play Mermaids.
