“Beehive” program encourages Mongolians abroad to come home

The Government is implementing a “beehive” program to encourage Mongolians living abroad to return to their native land. On Thursday, senior presidential advisor B.Dolgor and MP N.Ganbyamba announced the results of a “beehive” conference held in Berlin on September 30 and October 1.

They said 150 Mongolians living in 17 European nations attended the conference and heard presentations about the current economic situation in Mongolia and the country’s need for highly-educated professionals. Attendees were also made aware of 600 job openings in Mongolia for skilled workers.

Among the attendees were 25 doctors who said they were interested in returning to Mongolia. But they also said they faced some challenges in going back home, such as finding schools for their children and getting long-term work contracts.
