President Ts.Elbegdorj’s visit to US postponed
President Elbegdorj’s visit to the US in mid-May has been postponed because of scheduling difficulties at the White House.
Both the State Department and White House remain committed to welcoming President Elbegdorj sometime during the second half of this year. There are no policy reasons for the postponement, which was caused simply by complications in President Obama’s schedule.
President Elbegdorj’s original itinerary included Seattle, San Jose/San Francisco and Houston, in addition to Washington, DC. During his visit, he planned to meet with Microsoft Company officials to bring its licensed product to Mongolians.
