ABOUT PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION’S VISIT TO TURKEY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A parliamentary delegation led by Z.Enkhbold, the Speaker of the State Great Khural (parliament), paid an official visit to the Republic of Turkey October 9-13.

In frames of the visit, the delegation got acquainted with construction in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. This city is implementing a project on redeveloping suburban areas, erecting there new apartment towns.

Before this visit, the Turkish officials had got au fait with the same works running in the UB city's ger (national dwelling), so the Deputy Mayor of Ankara expressed a willingness to share experience in the re-planning.

The Speaker thanked the Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan for tackling a matter on granting a 300 million USD soft loan for erecting new apartment town in the UB city, and said Mongolia wants to introduce the Turkish experience in constructing apartments in place of old towns.

In addition, the delegation visited the Hirfanlı Dam, which was built by the Wimpey Construction and completed in 1959.
