Dai Bingguo: It’s pleasant to see our neighbor country developing

The official visit of the State Councilor of the People’s Republic of China, Dai Bingguo, formally began on August 23 when N.Altankhuyag, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, received and met him. Dai Bingguo congratulated N.Altankhuyag for being chosen as the Head of the New Government of Mongolia and further stated his hopes that Mongolia’s new Government will focus on expanding the relations of the two countries in every sector. He passed on the congratulations of the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Wen Jiabao, to N.Altankhuyag and extended an invitation to visit China.

N.Altankhuyag relayed that he had once paid a visit to China while serving as the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and stated “Our country has a lot to learn from China’s development. The bilateral ties of Mongolia and China have extended year by year and have reached the level of strategic partnership. It’s surely possible to further our cooperation. The new Government of Mongolia will use every method to learn from its neighbor China.”

He further expressed his main plans to reduce the unemployment and use mining wisely and produce value added products. Also, he stated that he hopes China will keep cooperating with Mongolia on the power and energy sectors.

Previous to his official visit to N.Altankhuyag, Dai Bingguo had met D.Terbishdagva, the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, and signed an agreement with him, with the intention to provide a grant-in-aid of 50 million Chinese Yuan to Mongolia.

S.Bayartsogt, the Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia, received the delegation from China, headed by Dai Bingguo, as well. S.Bayartsogt expressed his delight to receive them as the first official guests after the establishment of the new Parliament in Mongolia. He further noted “Every parliament and government of Mongolia has tried to set cordial relations and beneficial cooperation with long-term intentions with China. 

The newly appointed Government and Parliament of Mongolia will continue this intention further. We are content with our relations, as our two countries have been cooperating successfully within every sector of Mongolia. The decision for China and Mongolia to establish a strategic partnership has been of great significance toward furthering our bilateral ties.
