AMBASSADOR TO AUSTRALIA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Commonwealth of Australia R.Bold presented on Wednesday his letter of credence to Quentin Bryce, the Governor-General of Australia.

At the meeting held after the ceremony, Ms. Bryce mentioned that the countries have some similarities for expanding the bilateral relations and cooperation, and hoped that the collaboration in the mining sector will widen.

In turn, the Ambassador R.Bold conveyed a greeting of the Mongolia's State Head to Ms. Bryce, and hoped that the similarities in the two countries such as big area, population density and roles of the mining and agricultural sectors in the economy will give positive effects to expanding the bilateral relations and cooperation. The Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with active collaboration in the education sector, and emphasized a contribution of the Australia's assistance for development to strengthening the human resource in Mongolia.

Present at the ceremony were Paul Grigson, a Deputy Secretary of the Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Pamela O'Grady, the Secretary to the Governor-General; Sally Mansfield, the Chief of Protocol Office; Ross Westcott, the deputy head of the Protocol Office; and diplomats of the Mongolia's Embassy in Australia.
