Solar eclipse seen

Solar eclipse was watched today between 5pm and 6pm in Mongolia. Manager of Center for Geophysics and Astronomy, D.Batmunkh, said the eclipse of the sun would happen four times in 2011 - a rare case which has not happened in the last century. Interestingly, the solar eclipses would happen on June 1, July 1 and November 1.

A complete solar eclipse was observed in Mongolia in 2008 and the next case could happen in 2063. Today’s solar eclipse begins from northern Africa and could be seen in West Europe, Russia and Mongolia during sunset.
