Finance Minister meets Chinese Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Finance S.Bayartsogt received Monday Mr. Yu Honggyao, the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia.
The Minister has said the Mongolian side has been implementing successfully the projects reflected in the agreement of USD 300 million soft-loan, and then pointed out that the two countries have made credit agreements on improving equipment of the railway rolling stock and the infrastructure of Zamyn-Uud border checkpoint and construction of autoroads in western region.

He has added Mongolia agreed with the Chinese side on establishing an agreement in mid of January on a project of apartments micro-district.

The Minister has said that a project on renovation of basic network of information and communication has been rejected according to a decision of the National Security Council. He has proposed the Ambassador to realizing other two projects--"New era's education and E-health" and "Purchase of middle-sized tractor and building assembling factory"--with the capital of the project rejected.

Mentioning that the Premier of the State Council of the PRC Wen Jiabao said China's government is possible to give a soft loan of USD 500 million to Mongolia's government, the Finance Minister has introduced opinions of the Mongolian side about a credit term of this soft loan.
