Bonuses for each ton of wheat

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet has decided to issue monetary reward in the amount of 50 thousand MNT per ton of grain that will be delivered to the State reserve and flour mills. The allocations to finance the promotion of food grains stand at 11.7 billion togrog and are fully included and accepted in the state budget in 2010.

During the meeting, the cabinet heard Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry T.Badamjunai's report on results of the harvest in 2010, flour supply calculation and granting the monetary reward, and found it necessary to stabilize the successes achieved over the past two years in the agricultural industry, to continue the modernization of agricultural machinery, to install progressiva and newest hi tech, to improve the quantity and quality of crops, and to strengthen financial and economic potential of this industry.

Accordingly, the Ministers resolved to continue the "Reclaiming Virgin lands-3" programme, and instructed the Minister T.Badamjunai to develop concrete suggestions in this direction and to discuss them at meetings of the Cabinet before the New Year.

This fall, the country has harvested 366.3 thousand tons of grain, 12.9 thousand tons of vegetable oil, 169 thousand tons of potatoes, 90 thousand tons of vegetables and 38.9 thousand tons of forage plants. Flour producers have been supplied 228 thousand tons of wheat from the new harvest. The state reserves of wheat are some 330 thousand tons.
