The Russian Government would invest $250 million to the Mongolian “Ulaanbaatar Railway”

Mr. Levitin, Minister for Transport of the Russian Federation said that the Russian Government is planning to invest $250 million to Ulaanbaatar Railway, during the Pacific Region Economic Forum IV in Vladivostok. “We believe that this railroad is a vital part of transportation between Russia and China” he added.

Also the project of building regular railway line between Rajin, China and Hasan, Russia is planned and ready to be funded. Last year, the Russian President Medvedev discussed about the investment of $250 million to Ulaanbaatar Railway and it was supposed to be funded in 2009. Mr. Yakunin, President of the Russian Railway, promised to financially support the Mongolian side in every aspect.
