Mongolia-China mining meeting held in Beijing

A round table meeting titled “Mineral cooperation between Mongolia and China” was held June 26 in the “Pen Elite” hotel of Beijing, China co-organized by the Chinese information agency, the “Global Knowledge” journal and other media organizations.


The meeting was attended by Mr. Ts. Sukhbaatar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to China; Mr. Ts. Ariunsan, the Vice Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mongolia; Mr. P.Gankhuyag, a governor of Dornogobi aimag–from the Mongolian side; and by Gu Xiulan, a former Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China (PRC); Wei Jianguo, secretary of the China International Economic Exchange Center (CIEEC) and a former Minister of Commerce; Gao Shumao, a former Ambassador of China to Mongolia, officials of China’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Trade, Mineral Resources, representatives of some enterprises that cooperate with Mongolia in this sphere.

The sides exchanged views on the bilateral cooperation in the mining sector and its challenges.
