MONGOLIA ESTABLISHES DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH VANUATU

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Vanuatu on September 23 in the UN Headquarters, New York, USA, in frames of goals for having diplomatic relations with all UN members.

After having established the diplomatic relations, the two countries agreed to adhere to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the UN Charter and international law, principles and rules under a bilateral willingness to develop and strengthen the bilateral relations and cooperation.

The joint statement on the establishment of these relations was signed by L. Bold, the Foreign Minister of Mongolia, and his counterpart from Vanuatu Edward Nipake Natapei.

The establishment of the diplomatic relations with Vanuatu has opened up more possibilities for cooperating and for supporting each other in frames of international organizations.
