The fourth Mongolia Bike Challenge gears up

The Mongolian flagship cycling race, the Mongolia Bike Challenge, is due to start in the next few days for the fourth year. Mongolian Expeditions organizes the international bike race annually. This year the Mongolia Bike Challenge has the official title of “GENCO Mongolia Bike Challenge 2013” with the support of general sponsor “GENCO Tour Bureau”.

World cyclists are eager for the race that will run from August 31st to September 7th.

The opening of the “GENCO Mongolia Bike Challenge 2013” will take place at the Great Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue in Tsonjin Boldog on August 31st.

The 2013 GENCO Mongolia Bike Challenge is set to start on September 1st and cross the countryside to the Genco Tour Bureau 13th century complex in Erdene sum Tuv aimag by September 7th.

Leading cyclists from around the world are coming to participate in the competition. A total of 108 challengers from 24 different countries have registered in the race this year.

Cyclists will face a cover a distance of over 850 kilometers with 14,000 meters of elevation to climb on the newly redesigned 7-stage course.

At the top of the list of famous names taking part in the Challenge this year are returning Champion, Canadian Cory Wallace of the Kona Factory Team, Kyosuke Takei (Team Forza) of Japan who finished sixth at the Leadville 100 this year and 5-time Ironman France Champion Marcel Zamora (Buff-Niner).

During the race “MEDIASET” will produce a documentary film based on the nomad life.
