Hunnu exhibition opens doors free to public

The Mongolian State History Museum opened an exhibition on “the Hunnu`s cultural heritage and civilization”, celebrating the anniversary of 2222 years of the establishment of the Hunnu Empire on Thursday April 25th.

Over 300 ancient showpieces and items of Hunnu origin is being shown at the exhibition. These ancient findings were revealed in the past two years.

Hunnu noble women and men`s ornamental pendants, horse-drawn carriage equipment and furnishing, military tools, state and worship symbols were shown in the exhibition.

Hunnu jewelry made of gold, silver, nephrite, green emerald and tools of bronze, iron, cork and bone are also on display.

The Institute of Archaeology at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and the Archeological faculty at the Ulaanbaatar Institute also contributed to the running of the exhibition.

During a period of 90 years since the first archeological research on Hunnu began over 3000 tombs of Hunnu noble women and men in 50 different places have been discovered.

The exhibition of Hunnu’s cultural heritage and civilization will be available for free for one month.
