$85M loan will aid development of Mongolia's first wind farm

Mongolia's first wind project secured an $85 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Netherlands Development Finance. The 50-megawatt Salkhit farm in Ulaanbaatar is expected to become operational this year. Investment firm Newcom will develop the farm, and General Electric will supply turbines.
