Protest will be staged by Mongolians in Los Angeles

Mongolian media and public organizations have been organizing a movement against the plan to build a spent nuclear disposal facility in Mongolia. Since it was published in the Japanese Mainichi daily paper in March of this year two online Facebook movements “No nuclear power plants and wastes in Mongolia!!!” and “Anti Nuclear Movement Mongolia” have been launched so far. The organizers of “Anti Nuclear Movement Mongolia” are going to hold a demonstration to protest against the plan in Los Angeles, USA on August 11. The demonstration will start at 9:30am and will be finished at 3:00pm by sending a protest letter to the Japanese Consulate and Foreign policy office, U.S. Department of State. The protesters will be walking along the street, wearing the same colored tops, and waving the banners. They will also give an interview to the media.
