National Statistics Office of Mongolia: The First Half of 2011 Bulletin, all compared Year-on-Year to the First Half of 2010

· Loans up 57% Year-on-Year and 7% Month-on-Month, principals in arrears down 8% Month-on-Month and down 43% Year-on-Year, non-performing loans down 3% Year-on-Year and 2% Month-on-Month, budget tax revenues up 57% Year-on-Year, non tax revenues up by 72% Year-on-Year, total industrial output increased by 10%, carried freight rose by 54%, carried passenger by 52%,

· CPI up 6.2% Year-on-Year, 4.7% Year-to-Date and 0.4% Month-on-Month, transport group increased by 8.4%, money supply (M2) up 64% Year-on-Year and 6% Month-on-Month, currency in circulation up 43% Year-on-Year and 2% Month-on-Month

· The Mongolian tugrik, the MNT appreciated 8.9% Year-on-Year against USD but stable YTD 0.29%, average rate for June 2011 was 1257.3 MNT compared to 1380.3 MNT in June 2011.

· Total budget revenues Year-to-Date were 2 trillion MNT, budget surplus was 98 billion MNT, budget expenditures up by 38%

· Total external trade turnover increased by 77% to 4.7 billion USD, exports up 52% to 2 billion USD, imports up 2 times to 2.7 billion USD, trade deficit is up 15 times to 733 million USD.
